Isekai: この素晴らしい世界と恋に落ちる方法!

Isekai (異世界, Another World in english), is an anime genre with roots in Fantasy genre, where basically two worlds meet. We can find the beginning of this genre in anime since 1996, with The Vision of Escaflowne (天空のエスカフローネ), where a girl is sent to another world (isekai factor) by holding a dragon's heart (fantasy factor). My return to anime was with this genre, in an anime called Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World (Re：ゼロから始める異世界生活), which I completely recommend. Here we get lots of fantasy elements that are also used in J-RPG, so if you like these kind of games you'll completely fall in love with this anime. Now, can an Isekai anime be Sci-Fi? What is the difference between Fantasy genre and Sci-Fi genre? That's what I'm gonna try to answer in the following paragraphs.

First of all, what is the difference between Fantasy and Sci-Fi? I should start saying that the line is really tight. But, basically Sci-Fi has a set of rules that helps us to understand "how" impresive events takes place, unlike Fantasy where impresive events are directly called magic (can a magical anime be Sci-Fi? please watch The Irregular at Magic High School, 魔法科高校の劣等生), and there is no need to explain "how" it takes place; it just happens.

That said, can be an Isekai anime be also Sci-Fi? As sub-genre of Fantasy, no. BUT, you can actually mix it with Sci-Fi, and that's what they made in Gate: Thus the JSDF Fought Here! (ゲート 自衛隊 彼の地にて、斯く戦えり). GATE faced Sci-Fi with Fantasy through Isekai, and that's what is really intereasting about this anime, where people from "the other world" starts to be defeated by weapons resulting from science. The most disrupting event happened in this anime is when Lelei La Lelena, a young wizard, starts to apply physics concepts from bullets to magic, and by this actually melting Sci-Fi with magic (answering the last question I made in the paragraph above).

As my last post, I wanted to make some good recommendations (I can't miss KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!, この素晴らしい世界に祝福を！) and also make you pay a little of attention to this genre. In a world who is slowly going to crap by international conflicts, we'll need ways to keep dreaming. As Sci-Fi gives science dreams that this last one actually reaches, and by that, science develops itself, Isekai give us the chance to keep believing that better worlds (or just different worlds) can still be made. That said, I'm totally waiting for new Isekai stories to be released!

動畫介紹－亞人醬有話要說（亜人ちゃんは語りたい）

　　此動畫原作為漫畫。動畫製作由「A-1 Pictures」製作，曾製作過的作品有《迷糊公務員 SERVANT×SERVICE》（サーバント×サービス）、《不起眼女主角培育法》（冴えない彼女の育てかた）等等。

　　而在與「小鳥遊緋雁」的對談之間，也能看得出來許多事情之間，亞人與人類的感想其實都是差不多的，不太需要帶著有色眼光去看待他們。或許延伸出去，可以套用到世界上的許多事情呢？

　　希望這部作品能保持第一集的節奏直到結尾。
